Exceptional !

My wife booked this lovely place for a week’s holiday. When I saw it had 124 « exceptional » reviews on Tripadvisor I didn’t even bother to read them.
Five stars all the way – a lovely big old solid building with gorgeous decoration and fittings, big windows and the lovely country side views and great weather, lots of area outside for our son to play and explore, including table-tennis, pool table, etc. and just a couple of kms to the landing beaches.
Inside, meticulous attention to detail, spotlessly clean and well decorated. Fantastic breakfasts with home-made bread and jams on top of the normal continental offerings and we were lucky enough to be offered eggs as the hens were producing well while we were there (not sure that is usual).
We stayed for a week and would go again in a heartbeat. Five stars.

“Lawrence – Buckingham”

This is the most awesome B&B I have ever stayed at

When we drove up to this wonderful B & B I was enchanted. it’s so inviting I couldn’t wait to go inside. We were met by such gracious hosts in Catherine and Michael who showed us around their lovely place. I was taken by how cozy and warm the rooms felt to me. We first began the tour in the foyer. How lovely it was! They have beautifully decorated rooms that just make you want to come in and sit down and get comfortable. We continued onto the dining room, living room and our private room. Our room was spacious and charming. The bathroom was huge and everything was so clean and bright. There was actually a wonderful organic line of toiletries in the bathroom and pink sea salts for a relaxing bath. It was the most peaceful place we have ever stayed. We explored the grounds and my daughter was joined by the owner’s dog (Snoop), and a goose who both were really friendly. My daughter enjoyed her walk down by the pond. The back yard area was so spacious with patio furniture for a glass of wine or spirits. So much room for the children to run or take a pleasant nap in the hammock. The breakfast was wonderful and many choices it was hard to pick what I should have next. A chocolate croissant or fresh bread and homemade jams. On location they have an old tower that they have renovated and turned into an apartment that you can also rent by the week. It’s really something to see. I can’t say enough great things about this B & B. I told my husband that I wanted to stay and just relax for a few more days, but unfortunately, work calls and we had to leave. I can’t wait until we can return again. Catherine was so gracious that she sent us off with a cookie box for the long nine-hour road trip back home. If you are visiting St. Michel’s Abbey or Normandy you must look at staying here. Catherine also recommended some restaurants for us in the evening and made reservations for us. Excellent choices for food and atmosphere. She also gave us some excellent information about the nearby towns which was most helpful. Call them direct and experience their wonderful hospitality. What a delightful experience! Check out their website for pictures, although some don’t do them justice.
